Ethics and Values

Our values

We have adopted six corporate values, each involving different forms of behavior, which we reinforce and practice actively, thus living a culture of ethics and values that identifies us as a strong and committed group with its clients, staff and community.

SRE in the value chain

We managed to be one of the ten key enterprises in the Program "Implementing Measures of Corporate Social Responsibility in SMEs in the Value Chain" which was organized and sponsored by the Universidad Anahuac and the Inter-American Development Bank, thus ensuring that both clients and providers would design and implement those measures from its business philosophy to its own policies and practices on social responsibility.


Our aknowledgements

Concerned about the development of our staff, their families and our communities, we carry out various activities that have been recognized by organizations engaged in promoting and validating the experience of these practices. Thus, in 2004 we were awarded the prize of "Ethics and Values in the Industry" from the Mexico Industrial Chambers Confederation (CONCAMIN). Since 2005, we have been acknoelwdged as a "Socially Responsible Enterprise" from the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) and, a year later, since 2006, the STPS (Department of Labor and Welfare) has recognized us as "Family-friendly Company".

Quality of Life in the Workplace

Training center "Don Patricio Zapata Gómez"

“There is no point on having the best technology or the best facilities if we don't have the best personnel...” Slogan that led us to create our Training Centre "Don Patricio Zapata Gómez". Our main task is to develop the technical capacity and quality of interaction and human integrity of the staff, their families and community in three key areas; Technical Skills, Competencies and Business Integration and Human Formation Skills. This initiative is intended to have highly qualified and human personnel.

Environment, Security And Higiene

In order to safeguard human resources, materials and our environment, we create our model of Environment, Safety and Health (MASH), which consists of five categories: Health and Safety, Environment, Civil Protection, Assets Protection and Occupational Health. This conceptual model of administration is governed by policies, procedures and standards that help prevent and control occupational hazards and to implement the legal framework.


Organizational climate

We want our people to feel happy in their job, therefore, we apply an annual evaluation in which our working community provides us their views on fifteen factors of which six measure the experience of our institutional values. Both the General and the Management Committee of each of our business units develop an action plan together to provide solutions to continuously improve staff satisfaction.


Aknowledging our personnel

We touch the hearts of our people, valuing their effort and loyalty through a reward system that individually encourages and recognizes their long working career within the company, achievements, talent and competence in the specialty occupation, the experience of our institutional values and the results of our sales team.

Interaction with the Community

Education and integration with the community

Our vision states: "To improve the life quality of our staff, their families and preserve the environment",that is why we have created programs aimed at the Family and the Environment, creating and strengthening links between business, family, community, customers, suppliers and authorities. As part of our programs by and for the Family, we can mention: Women Congress, Children and Parents School and Sunday Mission; they all contain certain activities that contribute to development and family life by providing advisory on interesting topics and current concerns, which are seriously affecting Mexican families, and especially in our communities of influence. MASH Congress (Environment, Health and Safety is an event dedicated to health and safety issues both in our work and at home, also we annually train and reinforce our emergency brigade team. 
  

Health

Pursuing prevention and detection of disease in our staff, their families and community, in each of our Business Units, we have organized a Health Fair. This event consists of different modules, from vaccination campaigns to talks on nutrition and psychological counseling.            


Community support

Our country needs to build and strengthen supportive responsibility, by helping organizations concerned with the social wellbeing, which is why our staff supports these causes through our program "Helping to Change a Story". Since 2004 to the date, we have supported both children with special needs and children from foster homes by donating rehabilitation equipment, refurbishing their homes and study centers. Also, on a biannual basis we support our "One Tin Cause", in which we collect donations in-kind in order to improve the nutritional quality of our children in our communities of influence.

Environment preservation

Our environment

Concerned about our environment, we worked closely with our suppliers of raw materials, manufacturing equipment and machinery to improve our processes. Thus, they have become more friendly and compatible with our environment.

 

Lithographic coatings and high solids coatings are now used with water or organic base. In our equipment we have installed gas incinerators and dual blade systems, which greatly reduces energy consumption and therefore reduce pollutant emissions to our atmosphere. Our lithographic center features a UV-curing system, eliminating the use of natural gas combustion.

 

We also have work plans that help reduce energy consumption and awareness campaigns for staff and their families about saving energy and water, responsible purchasing, traveling without polluting and our reforestation and paper recycling programs.
  

Honesty and transparency

Organizational communication

According to our principles of honesty and transparency, we have an internal communication program seeking to regulate relationships with all stakeholders (shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers, authorities and competitors). We transmit, through various media, relevant news about the Group, from technical training programs, improvement projects and indicators for processes to integration events, campaigns, values, company-community actions, environment, safety and hygiene, awards to our staff and notes related to our Corporate Social Responsibility practices.
